European Six Sigma Club

Reasons that invite you to co-operate

What are the advantages of being a member of the ESSC-D?

People, as well as companies have become increasingly aware of the cost of things in the recent past. This means the question must be posed: is it worth paying the membership fee for the ESSC-D?

Become part of a network that operates throughout Germany

In a world that is becoming increasingly complex, it is becoming more and more difficult to unite the knowledge of one field of expertise in one person or one single organisation (company). This truism also applies to Six Sigma. In the communication- and knowledge-oriented society of the twenty-first century, one thus uses the services of networks. The European Six Sigma Club is such a network made by and for the users of the Six Sigma methods and its tools. This network counted more than 200 people in April 2008, and this number is increasing almost daily. Innumerable possibilities are available such as starting up discussions about issues in a forum and trusting in the qualified support from other networkers.

Using the knowledge pool to broaden one's horizons

With the help of Six Sigma Wiki, think-tank roundtables and conferences, there are many possibilities for members to revert to knowledge and resources that could not be accessed or it would be difficult to access without being a member. Six Sigma Wiki enables every member to extend his knowledge at his place or for himself; among other things, the 139 presentations of the Six Sigma conferences since 1999 can be viewed. This enables one's own company to benefit from the experiences of other companies.

Possibilities of co-operating in the further development of the methodology

The Six Sigma methodology is under constant development. Even if a company has successfully introduced the methodology, the interchange with other companies within the framework of membership is very advantageous to not miss out on the further development of the methodology.

Non-profit character

As a non-profit organisation, the club makes use of funds to further develop the Six Sigma methodology by means of the likes of research and theses. In addition, the membership fees are tax-deductible.

Safeguard quality by setting standards

The ESSC-D creates holistic and comparable standards when it comes to training for and the certification of the various "Belts". Such standards are not only important for the new appointment of certified Belts. Furthermore, companies affiliated to the ESSC-D can use the ESSC-D logo on their certificates and documents and thus label their experts as "something special".

All of the above-mentioned reasons are important. Maybe they are important to each individual or individual company in different ways, but if we users do not actively contribute towards the organisation, others will do and we do not know whether that will be in our favour. Should these reasons appeal to you or maybe they have convinced you, then click here, to become a member.
