New standards for Green Belt and Black Belt training. Greater transparency in the provider market.
With the standardization offensive for training content and certification criteria for Green Belt and Black Belt training, the European Six Sigma Club Germany (ESSC-D) is creating comparability of training courses throughout Germany for the first time. “The field of providers has become confusing, we want to create transparency here and stand for the highest quality,” says Dieter Szemkus, Chairman of the Board of the ESSC-D. Participants are given so much knowledge that they can later apply the tools independently in practice and use them successfully in projects. To be certified as a Green Belt according to the ESSC-D, a participant must complete at least 8 days of training and have completed a project independently. The standard for Black Belt training is 20 training days.
Six Sigma is an extremely results-oriented methodology based on statistical and scientific procedures. With the help of Six Sigma, errors and wastage within the creation processes of products and services can be significantly reduced. This systematic approach to improving process chains is used worldwide. In a Green Belt project, a company can achieve average savings of 40,000 to 50,000 euros. Experience shows that the savings vary greatly depending on the project definition.
In future, association members will be able to use a certificate that documents compliance with the ESSC-D standards for the training and certification of Six Sigma experts. Further information on the criteria:
