New board at the European Six Sigma Club

The annual general meeting of the European Six Sigma Club (ESSC-D) took place as an online event for the first time this year. At the beginning of July, Björn Noreik (BNB Quality Statistics and Training) was elected as a new member of the board. Dieter Szemkus, the long-standing Chairman of the Board, who had held this position since the association was founded in 2007, did not stand for re-election due to his age. Michael Kierdorf (KVP.expert) will take over the role of Chairman with immediate effect. He has been a member of the Board since 2008. The three other board members Dr. Michael Ohler, Prof. Dr. Bert Leyendecker and Stefan Berg were confirmed in office.

The members’ meeting and Six Sigma conference originally planned for March in Berlin was canceled due to the coronavirus crisis. As the contact restrictions were extended, the Executive Board decided to hold the meeting digitally in line with the times. “The digital version of the general meeting was successful, and we now want to maintain and intensify contact with members and other interested parties with digital information events and project presentations from the fall,” said Michael Kierdorf at the end of the general meeting. The specialist conference as a face-to-face event has been postponed to March 18-19, 2021.
