Bert Leyendecker, board member of the ESSC-D, is now a member of DIN Standards Committee 147, Quality Management, Statistics and Certification Principles. At the same time, he has been delegated by the German Standards Committee as the German representative to the International Standards Organization (ISO/TC 69/SC 7 – Applications of statistical and related techniques for the implementation of Six Sigma). There he will contribute his knowledge as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and on lean management to global standardization processes in the area of Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma. He previously had guest status on the German Standards Committee 147, which deals intensively with standards in the field of applied statistics for both manufacturing companies and the service sector. Existing standards are continuously revised, but new standardization proposals are also developed and corresponding projects are driven forward at national and international level.
Bert Leyendecker is 45 years old and has been Professor of Production Management at Koblenz University of Applied Sciences since 2008. He has been working with process optimization methods such as Six Sigma and Lean Management since 1999.
