Lena Thiele and Hendrik Bienert Take on Leadership Roles at ESSC-D
Reinbek, September 26, 2025 – At its 2025 general meeting, the European Six Sigma Club (ESSC) elected a new board of directors. Going forward, Lena Thiele ( President) and Hendrik Bienert ( Vice President) will lead the association. Both are recognized experts in quality and process management and have been active in the ESSC for many years.
“We would like to thank the outgoing board members for their tremendous dedication and the successful work they have done over the past few years,” said outgoing board members Michael Kierdorf and Michael Ohler. “With Ms. Thiele and Mr. Bienert, a competent team is taking over that will lead the ESSC into the future with fresh momentum.”
The new chair, Lena Thiele, emphasized : “The ESSC is a unique network for professional exchange and the further development of Six Sigma in Europe. My goal is to further intensify the dialogue between academia, practice, and industry, and to position the club as a strong voice for sustainable process improvement.”
As the new vice chair, Hendrik Bienert also emphasized the role of the members: “The ESSC thrives on the active participation of its members. Together, we want to make the network even more attractive, promote practical projects, and expand international cooperation.”
With its new leadership team, the ESSC aims to further expand its role as the leading European platform for Six Sigma, Lean Management, and sustainable process improvement.
