SUMMARY:Industry workshop “Pre-calculation of the CO2 footprint in the development phase”
DESCRIPTION:We would like to cordially invite you to the industry workshop“Pre-calculation of the CO2 footprint in the development phase” on March 1\, 2023 from 10:00 – 14:00 at the digiZ location Heidenheim\, Leibniz Campus 7. \nThe aim of this event is to present the current possibilities for calculating sustainability data in components and to jointly initiate future developments. \nFirst\, the use cases and solutions of a software from the manufacturer SIMUS are presented. The participants will then work together under moderation to develop a roadmap of where they currently stand and which additional sustainability factors could become relevant for their company in the future.  \nThe event is aimed at decision-makers from development\, supply chain and sustainability – the maximum number of participants is limited to 20 places. \nWe would like to provide you with more details to illustrate this topic: \nClimate change and global warming pose major challenges for the economy. Climate-neutral and sustainable business practices are now an essential success factor across all sectors. A seemingly simple task\, but one that can be quite complex to implement in practice. On the one hand\, companies have to comply with laws and guidelines\, such as the Supply Chain Act\, which comes into force in January 2023. On the other hand\, the demands placed on companies are constantly increasing\, as the attractiveness of companies is increasingly measured and evaluated on the basis of their sustainable actions. It is therefore more important than ever for manufacturing companies in particular to implement a systematic approach to recording potential emissions in their production processes.      \nWith its Classmate program\, the software manufacturer SIMUS offers companies a wide range of options for determining\, quantifying and structuring the necessary data from the value chain. \nIn future\, the predictions calculated by the program will not only be used to optimize processes and costs\, but also to calculate and reduce a CO2 footprint. \nThis event of the DGQ regional group Ostalb-Donau takes place in cooperation with the Digitalization Center Ostwürttemberg of the IHK Ostwürttemberg (digiZ) and the European SixSigma Club Deutschland e.V.
