At this year’s general meeting of the European Six Sigma Club (ESSC-D), Achim Schmidt (management consultant for innovation and quality improvement, Innovigation.com) was elected as a new member of the club’s board. This means that this body now also has a member who focuses on process and product development and who is more in-depth in the associated Design for Six Sigma and TRIZ methods. TRIZ is the theory of inventive problem solving and is a proven innovation method. “This is an extremely valuable addition for us,” emphasizes Michael Kierdorf, Chairman of the ESSC-D. “We warmly welcome him to the Executive Board and look forward to working closely with him.” Former Board member Stefan Berg stepped down at his own request after many years of service. For many years, he played a particularly positive role in shaping the work of the ESSC-D’s many working groups. The ESSC-D would like to thank him warmly for his many years of commitment. Michael Kierdorf, Dr. Michael Ohler, Björn Noreik and Prof. Dr. Bert Leyendecker were confirmed on the Board. As in previous years, the general meeting was held online.
