Submissions for the German Six Sigma Award now possible all year round

The European Six Sigma Club e.V. (ESSC-D) has extended the submission period for the German Six Sigma Award to the whole year. Work received by September 30, 2018 and completed in the last 24 months will be entered into the 2018 competition. Work submitted after this date will automatically be entered into the competition for the following year. “Students can therefore always submit their work immediately after graduation and no longer have to wait for a deadline, which makes it easier for them. We are already looking forward to the applications,” says Prof. Dr. Bert Leyendecker, board member of the ESSC-D.

The ESSC-D has been awarding the annual German Six Sigma Prize since 2011 and is looking for the best scientific work on the further development of the Six Sigma methodology. To date, a total of 23 prizes have been awarded. In addition to the gold, silver and bronze categories, there has also been an honorary prize since 2012 and a “Six Sigma Prize Practice” since 2014. Six Sigma projects from business and administration that are already in the practical implementation phase or have already been implemented can be submitted. An independent jury of experts with many years of practical experience assesses all submitted documents. Prizes are awarded to the projects that have made the greatest progress through the application of the Six Sigma process optimization method.

The winners of the 2018 Six Sigma prizes will be determined in December 2018. Details on the “Quest for Six Sigma Excellence” and how to submit entries can be found online at: www.sixsigmaclub.de
