Advanced training: Advanced Statistics and Data Mining at the European Six Sigma Club

Wedel, 07.03.2022
The European Six Sigma Club Germany (ESSC-D) is currently holding the “Advanced Statistics Workshop” for the seventh time. Under the motto “Understanding statistics – expanding tools – successful training”, experienced Black Belts and Master Black Belt candidates
receive further training for upcoming tasks. This includes information on the preparation and structure of teaching content, the background and special features of statistical calculations and tools, previously unknown methods and practical teaching samples.

“We are thus building an important bridge: On the one hand, Six Sigma experts need concrete opportunities to repeat and deepen content after Black Belt training and to understand the background to calculation results. On the other hand, Master Black Belt candidates often lack a methodical approach to creating teaching units and knowledge of different types of teaching,” says Mario Jürgens, co-initiator and trainer in the “Advanced Statistics Workshop”.
The “Data Mining Basics Workshop for Six Sigma Belts and Methods Experts” will follow at the beginning of April, providing an even deeper introduction to the world of data mining and machine learning. Participants get to know the basic methods and experience the software packages Minitab®, KNIME® and the programming language R in direct comparison. The workshop teaches basic concepts and methods for the structured analysis of complex data.
