The new board of the European Six Sigma Club (ESSC) is focusing on digitalization within the club. In doing so, it is following the trend that digitalization efforts are being accelerated by the pandemic in many business areas of the economy. Interest groups such as the ESSC thrive to a large extent on lively exchange, but meetings in person are almost impossible to plan in times of coronavirus. Official regulations are constantly being adapted to the current situation. In addition, many companies have banned employees from traveling on business.
The general meeting of the ESSC has already been held as an online event, and in September there was also an online info event for the association’s Advanced Statistics Workshop. As the annual specialist conference fell victim to the coronavirus pandemic last March, the winners of the German Six Sigma Prize (DSSP) now have the opportunity to present their award-winning work to a wide audience at online events. “The presentations by the DSSP award winners are open to everyone. We want to address as many interested parties as possible with these events and enter into an active dialog,” says Michael Kierdorf, Chairman of the ESSC. The first lecture on October 23 will deal with the topic of “Measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of processes”.
Further details on the events can be found on the ESSC website(www.sixsigmaclub.de).
