In spring, over one hundred Six Sigma experts from all over Germany met in Bad Honnef at the annual conference of the European Six Sigma Club Germany (ESSC-D). The participants spent two days exchanging experiences in workshops and specialist presentations. The main topic was the further development of Six Sigma tools. By expanding the Six Sigma toolbox, the method has now opened up completely new areas of application. These include, for example, administrative areas, service tasks, but also topics in the finance and insurance industry. The development of a special Six Sigma app by the ESSC-D is new. It is intended to provide concrete assistance in everyday working life in the future.
The four winners of the German Six Sigma Award 2014 were honored at a festive evening event. The main prize went to Bernd Diemer, who developed a model for improving the coaching of Six Sigma projects.
The next ESSC-D Six Sigma conference will take place in March 2016.
