Workshop: Methods of Operational Excellence

The module provides participants with a broad overview of the history of operational excellence and project management methods and philosophies. Insights into organizational and systems theory, including topics such as modern leadership and work psychology, shed light on essential framework conditions for successful collaboration. Progressive topics such as design thinking and non-hierarchical companies complete the picture and prepare participants for the self-organized, agile future.

Core content of this module:

➡ Project management methodology: From classic (waterfall) to agile methods (SCRUM / Kanban)
➡ “Theoretical & Consulting” OpEx concepts – Juran Model, “CIMS” (C. Cormier), “OpEx Consultants” CI System
➡ Design Thinking – an alternative, human-centred method for creative problem solving and product development
➡ Organization as a socio-technical system: basics of organizational and systems theory
➡ Positive psychology & new leadership – factors for successful work in organizations
➡ Progressive forms of organization: from authoritarian hierarchy to autonomous teams and hierarchy-free organizations (Teal)
